PLEASE PLEASE READ…. EXPLAINS THE WHOLE VIDEO!!!! Okay.. well first things first, ive had archie now for about 8 months, and during that time ive had to re-school his flatwork (which was totally rushed and he only used his front end to plow forwards) so ive had to get him to use his bum! then second, we started jumping after id got a decent canter. we started off great and i edned up doing a 1m20 fence, but typically shit happens. so i was jumping him over a 90cm fence and i fucked the striding big time, and asked him to take off early, but he put an extra stride in and ended up practically ontop of the fence so no matter where he went, unless he stopped he would hit it, so i asked him to stop but he went, so the next thing i know im getting taxied through the air, not able to help him at all… and archie is hitting the pole. he brings the pole down and gets it wrapped in his front legs, obviously he goes down and i come straight off. but he then rolls over my back, shoulders and head (his back and saddle land on my head and his back legs over my back) and doesnt get up. so i scramble out and start trying to get him up. thankfully he was fine, and i had to take him over another fence to make sure we got it out our system. It was that bad i had to replace both my riding hat, and archies reins…. so anyway i didnt realise how bad things were till i asked him to jump the following week… he was refusing at everything.. and i mean everything.. even a pole lying flat on …
